In recent years, there has been a spike in Cameroonian health research activity, and, consequently setting up a doorway for women scientists to make their mark in health research in the country. It is thus the most opportune time to build a significant cadre of women researchers in the health research field. The HIGHER Women consortium contributes to advancing women researchers in their profession by providing them with a platform to plan career growth, learn indispensable skills (such as applying for funds for research projects), and establish mentor-protégé relationships with role models. With a sharp plan, support, motivation and inspiration, the future of health research in Cameroon is for HIGHER women to grab.
